LSU is the unanimous NCAA football No.1 team in the country since Texas in 2008, and they followed up their grueling overtime win at Alabama with a romp over Western Kentucky. The Tigers are rolling into Ole Miss, where the Rebels are huge underdogs to win their first SEC game.
LSU Ole Miss Odds – Saturday, 7:00 PM ET
The No.1 Tigers (10-0, 6-0 SEC) feature the No.2 defense in the country, but it took the entire team to wake up after the battle with Alabama. It was all tied up after the first quarter, then LSU took over for a 42-9 win over the Hilltoppers to cover the price per head spread in Baton Rouge. Alfred Blue ran nine times for 119 yards and a couple of scores, while their defense smothered Western Kentucky.
The Rebels (2-8, 0-6 SEC) have now lost five in a row after getting whipped 27-7 at home against Louisiana Tech of the WAC, and it’s no surprise after it was announced that coach Houston Nutt will be fired at the end of the season. It has been a tough season in Oxford, and now they just have to hold it together for two more games.
LSU is a 28.5-point favorite on the road at Ole Miss, where they are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five, and four of those have gone over the total. The Tigers are 4-0 ATS on the road and Ole Miss is reeling, so take the Tigers to cover the sport betting spread.
